Rebecca Harrison loves joyful learning – both her own and also inspiring it in those around her. Her focus is on cultivating self-accountability, engagement, academic success, and in building student’s confidence in their own learning skills. Rebecca currently lives in Payson, Utah, with her husband, six of their ten children, and a variable number of cats. She enjoys the outdoors, walking with friends, and spontaneous road trips with great audio-books. Her happiest moments are spent with her family – playing strategic board games, discussing life, laughing, and singing.

Rebecca graduated from BYU in Special Education with a Utah teaching license. After teaching in Alpine district, she left professional teaching to home-school her 10 children, where she gained firsthand experience with innovative and personalized curriculum solutions. Beginning in 2005, she resumed her career in education by serving as the the founding K-6 principal of American Leadership Academy in Spanish Fork. Since then, she has worked as an administrator at other Utah Valley charter schools, most recently serving as a K-6 principal at Lumen Scholar Institute. She loves working with groundbreaking new school models that combine the professional support of a charter school with the flexibility and warmth of schooling at home.
