My name is Denya Crockett, but you can call me Miss Denya.  I grew-up in Payson, Utah. I have wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a little girl.  In preschool I remember my mom being called by the teacher because I was not sharing in the playhouse.  We were playing school so naturally I was the teacher.

I attended Southern Utah University and graduated with my degree in

Elementary Education with a specialty in Child Development.  After that, my husband went on adventures with the Army so i stayed home with our six kids.  My children are almost all grown-up, so this gives me the opportunity to be back in the classroom teaching.

As Nelson Mandella said, “ Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.  Children are our future. Distance Ed is such a remarkable program to be part of. Parent, teacher and child all working together.
